The focus of the Buxton’s lounge is the big media unit, with an optional 55” TV and Dolby Atmos soundbar. It’s perfect for watching the football, checking out the latest blockbusters, or even just catching up on Bake Off. But there’s more to the Buxton than just a big telly. The L-shaped sofa means there’s plenty of space for everyone to relax, and it hides a fold-out bed and under-seat storage, too. And if you have more people around, the footstool and handy cube seating will make sure everyone is comfortable. Like the rest of the home, the Buxtons’ lounge features natural, earthy colours, with pops of burnt orange really bringing it to life.

Kitchen dining area

The Buxtons’ kitchen features the same earthy greens as the lounge, which perfectly complements the matt black handles, chairs and appliances. A wide counter area separates the kitchen from the lounge, but don’t worry - you’ll still be able to keep an eye on the kids while you cook. And with a gas cooker, integrated microwave and optional dishwasher, cooking needn’t be a chore. Then, when you’re ready, you can all enjoy a sit-down meal at the freestanding table and chairs, or relax on the comfy sofa. The choice is yours. Its striking pale-green cupboard doors, matt black handles, and crisp white countertop make the space feel effortlessly chic.

Bedrooms

The earthy style of the Buxton carries on all the way to the bedrooms, with the master bedroom featuring some cleverly integrated wooden storage above the luxurious king-size bed. You’ll also get a good-sized wardrobe and en-suite bathroom in whichever version you choose, and the two-bed model even manages to squeeze a shower into the en-suite. The statement vanity station with its spectacular mirror is the perfect space to get ready for the day in peace, and the big window lets in plenty of natural light. Your twin bedrooms have plenty of clever storage space too, each with its own wardrobe - and the two-bed model even has space for a TV.

For over 70 years, our family-run park has welcomed generations of guests to enjoy the beauty of the Lake District, just as our family has nurtured and grown the park itself over five generations.

Founded in 1951 by Jim Allen, Park Foot has evolved from a working farm into a vibrant, welcoming park that provides both luxury holiday homes and touring options, all while maintaining the warmth and personal touch of a family-run business. Jim’s grandparents laid the foundation with their original bed and breakfast, and today, the Allen family continues to uphold those values, ensuring Park Foot is not just a place to visit, but a place to belong.

The park is managed by Jim’s daughters, Barbara and Fiona, alongside their children Coral, Joanne, Emma, and John-James, as well as Fiona and Joanne’s husbands, Malcolm and Gavin, who have all taken on key roles in shaping the park’s future. Each family member brings their own expertise, from overseeing daily operations to planning the exciting developments that make Park Foot a leading choice for those seeking long-term escapes and a sense of community.
